New HFTP Conference will be held from March 15 to March 16, 2010 and its main focus this time would be on the growing demands of hospitality professionals. The conference will span nearly two days. It will be offering quality education along with proper networking to emphasize technology for the non-IT professional, human resources as well as development of leadership. The conference will be held at the InterContinental Hotel in New Orleans, Los Angeles.
The conference program was developed from a survey of hospitality professionals and was also designed to meet the expanding job responsibilities. The topics of the program mainly cover the technology trends in the hospitality industry, IT solutions for smaller properties, leadership lessons from Hurricane Katrina, human resources help, fraud trends and many more.
To quote the words of CAE, CEO of HFTP, Frank Wolfe, “The Development Conference was created with this in mind, providing an opportunity for professionals to get educated on topics that pertain to their broadening job responsibilities.” He also added that “The 2008 HFTP Compensations & Benefits Survey showed hospitality professionals have a diverse range of job functions, spending up to 40 percent of their time on tasks unrelated to their job title. With budgets being tightened, their roles have increased even more than just a couple years ago.”
