The Adventure Travel Trade Association or ATTA has achieved a key milestone this year with the membership growing to 500 corporate memberships representing 56 countries. The 500th addition was the Mexican tour operator Ecoaventura Mexicana. Since the beginning of the year, more than 100 organizations have joined ATTA, setting a new one-year membership growth record.

The Adventure Travel World Summit of 2009, which is a trade-only executive gathering, was held between October 19 and 22, in Québec, Canada. The rapid membership in the association and the 500 mark that they have reached has made the ATTA President Shannon Stowell extremely enthusiastic about the success of the Association. He believes that the registered growth, especially during this tough economic climate, indicates the real value of the association and proves that their worth as a successful travel adventure operator.

In order to call attention to the 500 member registration, the Adventure Travel Trade Association has decided to recognize Ecoaventura Mexicana as its 500th member at the 2009 Adventure Travel World Summit. This recognition entails that - Ecoaventura Mexicana will receive an extra year’s membership in the ATTA. Ecoaventura Mexicana Director General Ms. Yolanda Ruanova is extremely excited with the membership and says that this is a fantastic opportunity that can take Ecoaventura towards international markets featuring Mexico as excellent adventure travel destination.
