IMEX is the essential worldwide exhibition for meetings and incentive travel. IMEX 2009 presents the visitors and the exhibitor, a stage to bridge the relationship. More space for exhibitors
Visitors will surely see many exhibitors on larger stands this year. There is confirmation about the number of major suppliers and destinations. They include Canary Islands, Croatia, the Czech Tourist Authority, Discovery Travel Jordan, Korea and Seoul, Macau, Norway, and the Romanian Tourism Office. German Hospitality Management Company etc. Accor hotels and Prestige hotels have also increased their space compared to last year.
What makes US interested into it?
There will be tempting representation from US exhibitors to those buyers and visitors, who are interested in an event in US. The US exhibitor's extension of marketing activities within Europe will leave Texas, the Philadelphia Convention Bureau and New York City with an increased space.
German zeroes on
Like every year, Germans will comprise a significant proportion once again. Last year, due to the German-marketing campaigns, there were thousands of visitors from the resilient German market. However, this year promises to be bigger with the partnership of Germany's Association of the Scientific Medical Societies (AWMF) and Vok Dams. They are ready to generate even more number of buyers. The meticulously conducted educational content along with 18 German seminars will be held to address specific issues for German buyers.
New Vision Program
The New Vision Program of IMEX has different plans for its 3,500 exhibiting companies. It includes a competition among students to test their understanding of meetings and industry trends. The IMEX Women's Forum, Cross-Cultural training, and the Politicians' Forum will be carried on as before. During the last three years the Politician's Forum has also seen an surge in its' significance and influence.
IMEX's green steps
IMEX even offers green workshops on its Corporate Responsibility Stand. There will be sessions to make visitors aware of the short, simple steps to become green. The IMEX Green Awards is a one of its kind. It includes Green Meetings, Green Supplier, Green Exhibitor, and Commitment to the Community Award.
IMEX, in its commitment towards environment took the initiative to reduce a total waste of 20 percent in 2007. It included various steps like recycling of 40 tons of paper, 32 tons of cardboard etc. the new steps taken in the year 2009, includes introduction of plant silk for all badge lanyards.
IMEX is all set to launch a new educational concept, “Meetings under the Microscope”. It will help the visitors to have a quick knowledge about scientific measures that can be used in meetings planning, environment, psychology, and marketing.
