El Dorado is gearing up for its upcoming reunion of the World War II veterans. The reunion will be held at El Dorado Lake State Park. The event known as the Kansas Vietnam Veterans and Family Reunion will take place on 17th, 18th and 19th July, the third weekend of the month at the Veteran’s Point, Shady Creek, Loop 3, El Dorado Lake in El Dorado, Kansas. The opening ceremony will begin on Friday at 10:00 AM. The registration is opened till 9:00 AM Friday 18th. The registration fee is US$3 and the announcements for special events throughout the Reunion will be made.

The commemorative buttons will be available at the registration table. You can buy as many as you can, as this will help to support the reunion. You will also need one to get past the security gates. The veterans from around the world, their families and friends will be entertained with live bands music and DJs.

Other than these, there will be auctions, raffles, kids’ entertainment tent, U.S.O. style show, food, drink and other activities. The auctions and raffles will be held for funding the expenses of the reunion and preparing for the next year. Anyone who knows any war veteran, inform them about this reunion. Those who have already registered last year need only to check in at the entrance before buying the buttons.

The reunion is also looking for dedicated volunteers who can be member of the new staff. The active volunteering by the new ones will help this reunion to continue for years.
