Shangri-La Asia Limited has lately announced the launch of its new hotel in Yingkou, a coastal city nestled in the northwestern part of the Liaodong Peninsula in Liaoning Province, China. This new property of Shangri-La is scheduled to be unveiled in 2015 and it will be the latest addition in the group’s prospering portfolio of north-eastern China properties in Dalian, Changchun, Harbin and Shenyang. The inclusion of this new hotel will bring the total number of hotels in the region to eight in the next few years.
Yingkou is a sought-after tourist destination, luring lot of tourists each year. The Shangri-La Hotel is located near to the beach and attracts both leisure and business travelers and it can accommodate tourists in its 400 lavish rooms. Each guestroom features a spacious balcony, from where guests can savor the spectacular views of Liaodong Bay. Culinary outlets will include an all-day dining restaurant and a Lobby Lounge. The restaurant offers some authentic Chinese dishes. The hotel will also be quipped with a meeting space, which will feature a grand ballroom, spanning an area of 1500-square-metre and it also include a 1000 square-meter multifunction space.
The hotel will also offer some exclusive recreational facilities, which includes a health club with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a spa and a hot-spring village. A family entertainment centre of 1400 square-meter will be a major highlight of the hotel. Children’s adventure zone with an array of facilities will also offer entertainment to guests travelling with family.
Yingkou boasting nearly 200 years of port history is located at a distance of 170 km from Shenyang, the capital city of Liaoning. The city is financially significant and it is also considered as a popular leisure destination. The city enriched with mineral resources, also include other key industries related to textile, port logistics, tourism and seafood processing. Yingkou, located in the Bayuquan district is an ideal sightseeing base for both business and leisure travelers, as the tourists can visit the Wanger Mountain Scenic Area, Moon Lake Park or the Hejia Valley ski slopes, hot springs and golf course from here. A high-speed railway links Yingkou with Dalian and tourists can reach the hotel in around 10 minutes from the station. A new airport is also under construction, which is expected to be completed by 2013.
