Concentrating on dishes, which are mainly masculine in nature, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar has eight new additions to their menu with considerable preference to women. These additions have led the same-store sales to increase by 5.2 % where there was a decline of 19.9 % in the same quarter last year according to the parent company OSI Restaurant Partners LLC.
Inaugurated in 1998 in Florida, USA, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar has been ever since a restaurant for premium quality food and wine winning awards in all over the country for its food. It has now 64 branches all over the country. The restaurant serves the best in beef along with different dishes of chicken, seafood and chops, salads, deserts and other side dishes. The Fleming’s 100 is the collection of the best wines from around the world.
Every year Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar hires chef to make innovations of the dishes and this year the chefs have been women. Tampa, Florida - based Jeannie Pierola and Los Angeles-based Jamie Gwen have worked along with Russell Skall, Fleming’s executive chef, to come out with dishes, which are light and less portioned.
Porcini Rubbed Filet Mignon, introduced by Gwen is an 8-ounce steak and Peppercorn Steak by Pierola, a twist on the classic steak au poivr has become the most popular, particularly among women. Jamie Gwen is an author to a cookbook and hosts a show over the radio and Pierola a chef in the Bern’s Steakhouse in Tampa.
Other menus added to the list are two seafood items Tillamook Bay Petrale Sole and Salmon Nicoise Salad, two appetizers Roasted Mushroom Ravioli and Lump Crab Louis Wraps and two side dishes as roasted baby carrots tossed with raisins and almond, sauteed French green beans with shitake mushrooms and porcini essence.
