The uber-successful Tao Las Vegas opened LAVO, a fresh dining and nightlife concept opened in September of 2008 at The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. LAVO specializes in Southern Italian cuisine while featuring resident DJs nightly in the second story nightclub.
The journey from lounge to restaurant to nightclub at LAVO begins with an entry into the lounge surrounded by brick walls and water stained plaster. Twenty foot ceilings of old wood and low chandeliers crown an area featuring a curved bar and leather seating. The restaurant is highlighted by a spectacular glass and wood screened bridge adorned with flowing water features.
The screened bridge leads the way to the intimate second story nightclub, which showcases a dome ceiling above the dance floor. The nightclub features vaulted glazed tile arches that open to the main room where revelers can enjoy a sexy, elevated VIP area with posh banquettes, embossed leather walls and mirrored mosaic tile niches.
The Restaurant & Cuisine
Corporate Executive Chef Ralph Scamardella along with Executive Chef John DeLoach and a team of experienced chefs prepare Southern Italian dishes at LAVO. His Signature offerings include Baked Clams Oreganato featuring Littleneck clams with toasted bread crumbs and garlic butter; Tomato and Bufala Mozzarella served over a crispy salad; Kobe Meatballs served with sausage ragu, whipped fresh ricotta or salad and a garlic crostini; and Roasted Chilean Sea Bass prepared with fresh tomato butter and served alongside Portobello mushrooms.
LAVO also features a wood burning brick oven, producing some of the best pizzas in Las Vegas. Pasta selections Penne Seafood Alfredo, featuring shrimp, scallops, and lobster butter in a light cream sauce; and Risotto with Braised Short Ribs with red wine, saffron and vegetable. Guests can also select from a variety of cuts of USDA prime steak, aged 21 days, served with an assortment of toppings and sauces to choose from.
LAVO guests can also choose desserts from satiating selections like Rolled Chocolate 7 Layer Cake, rich chocolate cake served with vanilla crème and toasted marshmallow sauce; Warm Chocolate Bread Pudding, a house specialty, accented with creamy dulce de leche and vanilla ice cream; and celebrity favorite Oreo Zeppole served with a malted vanilla milkshake.
The 300 seat restaurant includes a 180-seat main dining room, a 20-seat private dining room and 100 seats on the outdoor patio overlooking the famed Las Vegas Strip. The restaurant is open seven days a week dinner starting at 5:00 pm, with late night dining until 1:00 am on weekends.
The 5000 square foot nightclub features 40 bottle service tables, state of the art audio visual systems and the sounds of resident DJs Vice, Five, Crooked, and Galeano along with special sets by renowned guest DJs. The nightclub is open six nights a week.
The sexy and warm LAVO is an AvroKo designed space, which has turned a favorite of locals and visitors alike.
